Cadence Music Studio introduces each student to the joy of music through piano and theory lessons. As music is a valued universal language, students are encouraged to express themselves through music and discover deeper parts of who they are. Since music touches the deepest parts of the soul, it is important to share music with others as well. That is why recitals and other performance opportunities are hosted throughout the year.
"I started playing piano at the age of 12 and have loved the piano ever since. I caught onto piano concepts quickly and began teaching a few students at the age of 17. I then decided to major in music to further my music ability and learn how to more effectively teach students. I received my BA in music, May of 2015. Throughout college I continued to teach private piano lessons and hosted a recital each year. After college I taught general music to elementary schoolers for a few years and began increasing my piano students. I have been teaching piano lessons now for over 10 years and today, I solely teach private piano lessons at my home. I am a member of PPMTA (Pikes Peak Music Teachers Association) and through that I am able to grow my teaching skills with monthly webinars and/or presentations from skilled teachers and musicians. I am able to present students with the opportunity to compete in music festivals as well. By learning how to play the piano I believe students have a skill they can treasure for years to come. My hope is to bring a love and further discovery of music to each of my students through teaching them how to play the piano."
